rational ambition

Although its a well known fact that physical and environmental circumstances have a great impact on our behavior and development, I cannot imagine anyone could have predicted the latest phase of our evolution. Having said that, in this ruthless and often coldblooded age, it is only to be expected that coldblooded ruthlessness not only become our new virtues, but an essential part of the survival guide that we teach our children. I know it seems extreme, negative and doomed to fail, but we are living in times where showing kindhearted generosity could be deemed as weakness and an opportunity to exploit and profit, cutthroat greed leads to the top of the pile, being good natured and honourable are no longer tools of success.
